A few days ago, I came across a site called ProjectPayDay. At first glance, the site was just like the rest in appearance and sales pitch: "Make Money Online Now" followed by 20 or 30 video testimonials. When I researched them a bit more, I came across many postive reviews from users that stated that they did make money using this system. Naturally, out of curiousity, I signed up.
ProjectPayDay : The General Idea The basic idea behind ProjectPayDay is that you can make money by completing certain offers for people. These offers are generally those "refer 10 friends and get a free Xbox" kind of offers. People pay you to complete a free offer or sign up for a service under their referral code. For example: Johnny signs up on GetAFreeXbox360.com. Johnny really wants that free Xbox, but in order to get it, he needs to refer 4 friends to the site so that they can sign up to the site. The catch is that the site may state that for Johnny to get the referral, each of his buddies must sign up for various products and services. These services range in price from a few dollars to hundreds of dollars. Now I don't know about you, but my friends aren't really into the whole weight-loss or herbal Viagra scene. This is where ProjectPayDay comes in. ProjectPayDay connects people that need referrals with people that want to get paid for making a referral. So let's say Johnny was willing to pay 100$ for his Xbox, he would go on one of the ProjectPayDay forums and post that he is willing to pay 25$ to the first four people that are willing to sign up on the site and complete an offer. Why would anyone pay for herbal Viagra so that Johnny gets his prize? Well, if the herbal Viagra costs 7.95$ and Johnny pays 25$ for a referral, I get 17.05 for signing up on a site and completing an order. Easy money right? Yes it is! Because Johnny is ProjectPayDay pro, as soon as my transaction clears, he transfers 25$ in my PayPal account. End of transaction. If someone were to spend hours doing this daily, this person could literally earn hundreds of dollars a day. Atleast that's the plan. My Problem with ProjectPayDay The program is extremely time consuming. It's a fulltime job. Finding the opportunities isn't hard, but finding the correct products and services that are in the right price range can be tiresome. A lot of the services are not cheap, and some are even recurring meaning that if I do not cancel a subscription to a service I signed up for, I get billed for it again and again. The ProjectPayDay system is perfect for those seeking to micro-manage all the aspects of signing up to service, cancelling services, finding opportunities and making sure you get paid. Another problem I have with ProjectPayDay is the fact that some of the offers that I must complete to get paid are closed to Canadians such as myself. I probably would have expirimented longer with their system if I wasn't limited to signing up for Disney books on tape every single time. Another peeve of mine is that sometimes I have to complete 2 or 3 offers before I get credit for the referral. This can be difficult if you're trying to keep your own costs low. If we were to use the example above, Johnny pays me 25$ for a referral, but the referral costs me 21$ in sign ups. Not really interesting now is it? ProjectPayDay Customer Service Surprisingly, their customer service is outstanding. I had problems activating my account and they were there to help. When I cancelled my account, they immediately contacted me to find out why and issued a credit with no questions asked. Quite frankly, I was pleasantly surprised. Conclusion I have no doubts in my mind that this system does work for the people that are willing to work at it fulltime. Odds are, if I really wanted to, I could have stayed on and made atleast 100$ a month just buying weight-loss pills. But the fact of the matter is, that it is not easy to sign up for some offers because I'm Canadian so I was wasting more time than I was making money. Signing up to ProjectPayDay essentially makes you a bottom feader in an eco-system of sales. The real people making the money are those that offer the products and services that you have to sign up for to get someone else a referral. The other people making money are those that pay 100$ for an Xbox 360, that they can resell for three times the price on Ebay. You as a person signing up for offers are getting the crumbs left behind by the top two earners. If those crumbs are worth it, then by all means go for it, otherwise, move on.
