When autumn arrives, many people have the natural reaction to seek refuge within their homes. I think it's a natural process most northern dwellers live. We're programmed to lock down and hibernate.
Winter doesn't have to be all about staying by the fireplace and drinking some eggnog. Sure, it's enjoyable to stay indoors and watch a movie under a pile of blankets, but variety is key in everything in life and here's an idea to make winter time a unique and fun experience for you and your family.
Outdoor fireplaces are a great way to bring the indoors outside. Why not have a marshmallow roast in the backyard during a light sprinkling of snow? You can turn your backyard into a ski resort with the right accessories. These fireplaces are inexpensive and safe. Place a few logs around the fire and you have the makings for a great evening with friends and family in an atmosphere most wouldn't expect from an urban setting.

One day in the shower, I noticed a little bottle on the soap rack. Intrigued by it, I picked it up and read the label only to find that it was a bottle of high end acne treatment. I personally do not have an acne problem, but I was curious to try it. After a week of using the product in question, I noticed that my skin was smoother and more specifically, less oily. I know that these high quality products are expensive, but I do know that they truly work to improve the appearance of your skin. I use the treatment once or twice a week to really give my face a thorough cleaning. People with acne problems must use the product everyday, however for those of us without an acne problem, using these products improves our skin and removes dirty and impurities that normal soaps cannot remove.

Have you noticed the increase in home renovation shows in the past few years? TV networks are actively pushing "do it yourself" home renovation and flipping shows.
These shows while informative, are definitely trying to do more than just teach you and motivate you to fix up your digs. In fact, television networks use these shows as a vehicle for product placement and branding. From specific brands of paint, to siding and drywall, these shows inform you of the innovative products out there for you to use to make your home a better place to live.
For example, I would much rather see a professional install brand new Kohler fixtures instead of just seeing an ad for it. Involving the product in the show is both logical and effective. Not only do I get to see a professional install a future potential product I may use, I get to see it in action and in the grand scheme of the decor. I won't feel like an idiot shopping at Home Depot if I know what I'm looking for. Great Marketing.
